Mandatory Step

Mumbai University Pre-Enrollment

Before applying to Pragati Degree College, all undergraduate students must complete the mandatory online pre-enrollment registration with the University of Mumbai.

Visit the Official MU Portal

Go to the official Mumbai University digital portal (mum.digitaluniversity.ac) during the dates announced by the University.

  • Ensure you have a valid mobile number and email ID.

Create Student Profile

Register as a new student to generate your unique 16-digit PRN (Permanent Registration Number). Fill in your personal, educational, and contact details accurately.

  • Upload scanned copies of your photo and signature.

Select Pragati Degree College

In the program selection tab, select your desired course (B.A., B.Com, or B.Sc.). Then, specifically search for and select Pragati Degree College, Vasai East as your preferred college.

Print Pre-Enrollment Form

Submit your choices and download the final Pre-Enrollment form. You MUST bring a printed copy of this form when you come to the college to finalize your admission.

Selection Criteria

How the Merit Process Works

Pragati Degree College follows a strict, transparent merit-based admission policy as directed by the University of Mumbai guidelines.

1. Form Submission

After completing the MU Pre-enrollment, submit the college application form online or offline before the published deadline.

2. Merit List Publication

The college will release multiple merit lists based on 12th standard (HSC) percentage cutoffs. These are posted on our website and notice boards.

3. Document & Fee Window

If your name appears on a merit list, you have a strict 2-3 day window to verify your original documents at the college and pay the fees to secure your seat.

Document Checklist

Ensure you carry the original documents plus two sets of self-attested photocopies during your admission confirmation.

Pre-Enrollment Form

Printed copy of the MU Digital University registration form.

HSC (12th) Marksheet

Original and photocopies of your 12th standard results.

Leaving Certificate

Original School/College Leaving Certificate (LC).

SSC (10th) Marksheet

Photocopy of 10th standard marksheet for date of birth verification.

Aadhar Card

Photocopy of student's Aadhar Card.

Caste Certificate

(If applicable) Original and photocopy for reserved categories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, it is strictly mandatory. Without the PRN (Permanent Registration Number) generated by the MU Digital portal, Pragati Degree College cannot process or confirm your admission.

If you fail to submit your documents and pay the fees within the stipulated 2-3 day window of your specific merit list, your claim to the seat is forfeited, and it will be offered to the next eligible student in the subsequent list.

Stream changes (e.g., Science to Commerce) are generally not permitted after finalizing the admission. Minor subject changes within the same stream may be allowed within the first two weeks, strictly subject to seat availability and Principal's approval.
